AllForTiles and Expoquimia 2023

We are glad to invite you to our next trade shows:

All For Tiles

The third edition of the ceramic industry convention near Sassuolo will be held at Modena Fiere, 10-11 May 2023.

Join us at pav. B, stand C25.

This is an unique occasion to meet our partners and discuss about ceramics topics only a few kilometers away from the Sassuolo district.

Expoquimia

Expoquimia is the world platform for new products in the world of chemistry. It will be held at Fira Barcelona, in Barcelona, Spain, 30 May - 2 June 2023.

Discover what’s new

Flash cooling and residual stresses

It is not possible to fully understand how ceramic technology works without observing and measuring its behaviour in detail throughout the industrial cycle, including cooling. This is why we have developed the ELS-MDF motorized furnace which can open at high temperature, causing a thermal shock similar to what happens in some industrial processes. Mastering the cooling phase is crucial to manage planarity and avoid residual stresses, especially in very thin and large slabs.

Absolute Optics

We believe in constant improvement of our systems to meet our customers’ needs and also to create tailor-made equipment, when required. This was the driving force to develop the new optical system: Absolute Optics. A perfect match between high precision, high resolution and high range to study the thermal behaviour of the materials that will build a demanding future.

Vertical Dilatometer and MoSi2 elements

We also present a new measuring platform, alongside the powerful ELS-MDF, featuring the Heating Microscope and Vertical Dilatometer functions: ELS-MV. The main advantage of this design is given by the Molybdenum Disilicide (MoSi2) heating elements: the maximum heating temperature can be extended up to 1700°C and the elements are much cheaper than the Platinum/Rhodium alternatives.

The Vertical Dilatometer can follow sintering with 7x resolution than the Heating Microscope. It can measure without friction with the sample holder and accepts samples one third smaller than the horizontal dilatometer (5x5x15mm). The Differential Optical Dilatometer option is also available for increased linearity on fast heating rates.

Vacuum and Controlled atmosphere

ELS is proud to introduce the first multifunction optical dilatometry platform with vacuum capability on the market. Designed to satisfy the increasing demands to study materials outside the traditional ceramics field, like advanced ceramics and metals.
